In this mod a drone is moved to a random location, and the objective is to find where the drone is. It will print out the distance from the player to that location every time you move. Whenever you find it, fireworks will get launched.
This mod is great, for treasure hunting, hide and seek, or any other mod you can imagine that in which the player has to find a random location.
The remix version of this mod places a block at the random location, changes how the distance gets printed, and spawns another block once you find it.
I made two changes inside of main. First, I created a variable called foundIt and set it to false; this will keep track of whether or not the player finds the block. Then I added another event that will check whenever the player does a mouse click:
Next, in the randomLocation function I changed the 25's to 100's this will make the spawn area larger. Besides that I made the drone place a diamond block, and print out the message "Go look for it!!":
Then, in the somebody moved function I wrapped everything inside an if statement that checks if foundIt is still false. Whenever the player finds the block, it will do the same thing as before, print out "You won! :)", and launch a firework. In addition to that, the variable will get toggled to true and after two seconds, the variable will get toggled back to false, it will print out "New Location!!", and it will spawn another block at a random location.
Finally, to print the distance I used a function that gets triggered with the player_interact Event. If the item the player is holding is a bone and the block hasn't been found it will print out the message with the distance between the player and the diamond block.
